Definition & Principles
Visit Off-site SEO, ...that's what builds your credibility outside your website, links, mentions, reviews, citations, and social signals. My goal is simple: to build a reputation that is earned, that lasts, that reassures algorithms, and above all, your visitors. In my opinion, the surest path remains a consistent, almost frugal, yet tenacious editorial approach.
Objective in one sentence
Get quality backlinks, relevant, diverse, placed within a coherent semantic context, with natural anchors, primarily brand-oriented.
Off-site vs. on-site & technical
Without a solid technical foundation—including speed, indexing, and internal linking—your off-site efforts will run out of steam. I invest first in remarkable, clear, and useful content, then move on to link building. The more competitive the SERP, the more I ramp up off-site efforts—but never at the expense of the content itself.
When to accelerate
- It’s a new site with little competition, so I’m going with slow, organic links.
- The market is tight, so I'm adding some Digital PR, co-brands, and proprietary research.
Off-site authority factors
- Backlinks : thematic relevance, domain authority, actual referral traffic, semantic context, placement within the body of the text.
- Anchor profile : brand > URL > partial > exact; I tend to use "exact" sparingly.
- Brand Mentions & E-E-A-T : expertise, experience, authority, reliability—I show who is speaking, why, and how.
- Local Citations (NAP) & customer reviews: consistency of contact information, volume of reviews, quality of content.
- Social signals : useful for spreading the word, but never a substitute for real connections.
