referring to all the links created between the different pages of a single site. This makes it easier for visitors and Google alike to navigate the universe of your content.<\/p>\n<p>This is not to be confused with external links, which are links to other sites. Both are important, but today I'd like to focus on what you can fully control internally.<\/p>\n<p>Google attaches great importance to internal linking, as it helps it to understand the hierarchy of pages, to uncover deep, often overlooked content, and to better distribute authority throughout the site.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Pourquoi_le_maillage_interne_est-il_crucial_en_SEO\"><\/span>Why is internal linking crucial to SEO?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Firstly, it improves crawling. When an indexing robot arrives on your site, it follows the links to discover the pages. The better they're linked, the faster they'll be crawled.<\/p>\n<p>It then transmits what is known as the <i>PageRank<\/i>, a kind of \u201clink juice\u201d that makes certain pages more valuable, depending on the number and quality of the links they receive.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, for your visitors, it's a smoother experience. Dead ends are avoided, reading is gently guided, and bridges are created between subjects. Google recommends staying natural.
