Why buy articles for your blog?
Honestly, producing content every week is a real challenge. Like you, I'm juggling my projects, my ideas and daily imperatives. Delegating some of the writing to a professional saves precious time, and above all, ensures that I publish regularly.
In addition to regularity, SEO benefits greatly. An experienced copywriter will know how to slip in the right keywords, structure the text correctly, and respect search engine expectations. All without sacrificing fluidity or reader interest.
And working with an expert is also an opportunity to benefit from a fresh eye. You may discover a different way of approaching a subject, or a different style that may speak better to your audience.
Where can I buy blog posts?
Copywriting platforms
Like many of you, I started here. Sites like Textbroker, Fiverr or Redacteur.com allow you to order an article in just a few clicks. It's convenient, fast and often inexpensive.
But beware of quality. Some texts lack depth, or are clearly written in haste. It's often necessary to test several copywriters before you find the one you're looking for.
Freelance writers
For more targeted content, I prefer to use a freelancer. These profiles, found on Malt, LinkedIn or Upwork, are often specialized in a specific field. They understand your needs better, adapt their tone and provide personalized follow-up.
It takes a little longer to set up, but the result is generally much better.
Content agencies
Finally, there are agencies. More expensive, of course, but they offer a turnkey service: editorial strategy, planning, proofreading, advanced SEO... If you've got the budget, this is the most comfortable solution.
How much does a blog post cost?
It all depends on what you expect. I've been known to pay €15 for a short article, or €180 for an expert text on a complex subject. Here's an idea of the rates I've come across:
- Simple article (500 words) between €10 and €50
- SEO-optimized article (1000 words) between €50 and €150
- Technical or expert article from €150
What makes the difference? The writer's expertise, the level of research required, the technical nature of the subject and, of course, the deadlines.
How do you choose a good copywriter or platform?
Before entrusting your content to someone, take the time to check a few essential elements:
- The portfolio a good overview of style and quality
- Customer reviews to find out about your strengths (and weaknesses)
- Writing quality syntax, spelling, clarity
- Mastering SEO indispensable for visibility
- Meeting deadlines a criterion never to be neglected
Trust your intuition, and don't hesitate to start with a test order. This avoids unpleasant surprises.
How do you write an effective brief for your articles?
A good brief is half the job. I've learned, sometimes the hard way, that a copywriter can't guess what you have in mind. Here's what I recommend including:
- The target Who is the article aimed at?
- The desired tone serious, casual, informative, persuasive?
- Keywords to include to boost SEO
- Sources to use (or avoid)
- The objectives inform, convince, entertain?
- The expected structure headings, paragraphs, bulleted lists...
The more precise, the better. A well-written brief avoids unnecessary to-ing and fro-ing, and greatly improves the final quality of the content.
Alternatives to buying articles: AI, rewriting, PLR
If you're on a tight budget, there are other solutions. I've tried them, with varying results. AI, like ChatGPT, is useful for a first draft or to get ideas, but you always have to reread, reformulate, enrich...
PLR (royalty-free) content is often too generic and unsuitable for a serious blog. As for rewriting old articles, it's a good strategy, as long as you keep the information up to date.
Personally, I sometimes use AI as a complement, never as a total replacement. Nothing beats a human eye and a real pen.
To remember
Investing in blog posts is more than an expense, it's a lever. To make it work, you need to know where to look, at what price and how to collaborate effectively. Test, compare and refine your requests. With a little method, you'll obtain content that attracts, informs and retains your readers.
